![]() ![]() That's actually more helpfull then the other guy, thanks for all the explaining, I had some difficulties in putting the bodies in the garbage zone, I clicked in the trash icon and after a few seconds the icon was gone, again. The only way to retrieve any specific item in that pile is to unforbid the whole mess, I think. If you take precautions and have personality types that don't go berserk, it could be a while before they snap, but it can happen even if you are taking care of them sometimes. All the Garbage Dump Zone items will stack in an infinite number on one tile and will all be marked Forbidden. The point of the new stress system is that it isn't a foregone conclusion to have a tantrum spiral eventually. For Garbage Dump Zones on ramps, it may be much simpler. I guess it's invisible, since it's a hole, or they can't drop items into it directly like that, so have to have a tile on their z-level to use first to "slide" the garbage into the hole. I suggest two-tiles be used, always, as Dorfs will not recognize the Garbage Dump Zone if it is only covering a single hole in the ground. (Not just Refuse zone, but a Garbage Dump Zone.) That needs to either cover a hole in the ground or a slope. Make sure you have a working, functional, Dump. And, if you do disable that Corpse hauling behavior under child Chores, that's going to put a hefty Hauling load on the adults - It'll take awhile. The reason being is that they can be traumatized by the dead bodies and the like and you have very, very, few ways to control things concerning Children, like all the different ways you could try to keep Dorfs from throwing tantrums. You can toggle those back on and they'll gradually clear up things that are not marked as Forbidden.Ĭhildren also do this in their Chores for corpses, but it is not wise to allow them to do that - Untoggle that "Chore" in the Chores menu. In the Standing Orders menu, a lot of work with corpses, vermin, and garbage left "outside" of the Fortress is toggled off or disabled during sieges. AFAIK, it doesn't matter where you install it. You'll need to make a Slab then Engrave it with that Dorf's name and install it, somewhere. But, that won't prevent a Ghost from showing up, since the dead Dorf doesn't have a Tomb. ![]() Visually, you can hide it from view using the "trashcan menu" at the far-right of the taskbar. uld had worked, but maybe the corpse has a aoe radious or smt like that? I already deleted that playthrough so it's no problem anymore, just happened at my second playthrough and I guess I was unlucky Originally posted by MadAsgardian:Build a floor over it, under construction. ![]()
